OUR  ACADEMY

Purpose

To develop and nurture youth players by teaching them football skills required to play at the clubs highest level through professional level coaching.

We wish to give players every opportunity to excel and reach their potential both in football and as people.

 

Eligibility

Regardless of skill level, if you have the right attitude, desire, passion and commitment to learn and achieve on and off the field.

The academy is open to all within the ages of 5 to 12 including.

 

Aim

Provide players with an opportunity to learn and enhance their skills and understanding of the game with the hope that more than just a few will love the game and stay connected  in football regardless of level.

Elite players can elevate their game and follow the clubs player pathway.

 

Term

From February to November each year, one session of one hour per week.

(The 2017 program will run from April to November)

 

Cost

$450 per child for the 43hrs in total which roughly equals to just over $10 per child per session

(The 2017 program will run from April to November at $370 per child for the 35hrs in total)

All Albany United members will receive a $50 discount per child registered and attending the academy.

Included in this is a full kit of the Academy top, shorts and socks for every first time register.

 

What does my fee pay for

Facilitators, equipment (cones, balls, bibs, agility poles…….), academy apparel and where needed venue hire.

 

What different about us

The purpose of the academy is an off spin of the Albany United FC curriculum. In order to meet the curriculum outcomes we need to provide the opportunity to upskill players outside of the team coaching environment.

Our learning environment has reduced numbers so players get more one-one time from the coach. And regardless of how it grows, this will always be the focus.

Our academy is cheaper than most operating presently by an average of 40% lower.

The quality of coaching is at the same level of other academies.

All coaches are vetted to ensure parents are comfortable with the staff when leaving their children with us.

The programme is overseen by the Clubs Director of Football to ensure it links back to the club, its purpose and vision and against the curriculum.

Terms and Conditions

All training equipment will be provided by the academy and remains property of the academy. All training apparel will provided remains the participants. All training apparel must be worn to applicable training sessions and it is the participants responsibility to maintain and clean training uniform. Replacement uniforms are available at the expense of the participants. 

Training session times and dates are subject to change, the academy will endeavor to keep to the prescribed training programme, however in exceptional circumstances the academy reserves the right to postpone scheduled training sessions.

Participants withdrawing due to circumstances beyond their control may apply in writing to the Academy Director for withdrawal. Refund of fees is at the sole discretion of the Academy Director.

The Academy reserves the right to have sponsorship and/or advertising on its apparel or material at its own expense.

Registrations are facilitated manually by way of a academy registration form which must be either posted (PO Box 302-764, North Harbour) to the club or send via email to academy@albanyunited.org

Payment can be made by cheque to North Harbour Football & Sports Club Inc. or direct credited to ASB 12 - 3072 - 0371402 - 00

Please ensure the reference used is the participants surname and FA. example  Smith FA
